Please plan to attend the 2018 Washington County Republican Party Convention & Candidate Forum. Food will be provided. This is a great opportunity to talk with and hear from all Republican candidates running for office in 2018. From Governor, US Senator to County Supervisor and School Board. Sign-in & social time begins at 5:30 with the candidate forum starting at 6:00 PM. (a free will $10 donation is encouraged to help cover expenses) The WCRP will hold their county convention following the forum after 7:00 PM.

Senator Deb Fischer campaigned for re-election in Blair on Friday, February 16, 2018. Blair was the first of three campaign stops Friday for Senator Fischer, with stops in Fremont and Wahoo in the afternoon. About 40 people attended the Fischer meet and greet at Fernando’s Cafe & Cantina in Blair during lunch.  Senator Fischer spent time one-on-one with everyone in the room, gave an update on Senate bills and explained specifically her votes on important issues.  The event finished with Senator Fischer answering questions from the attendees. Fischer Meet & Greet Blair photos

Just one week after filing to run for Legislature in District 16, Ben Hansen held a very successful fundraiser in Blair. With over 90 people in attendance from the Washington County area, the event proved to be even more successful in fundraising than even the most optimistic estimates. Headlining the event were Gov. Pete Ricketts, former Gov. Kay Orr & Lt.Gov. Mike Foley. Other Republican elected officials included Blair Mayor Jim Realph, Blair City Council President Brad Andersen, Blair City Councilman Kevin Willis, Blair City Councilman Chris Jensen, Washington County Sheriff Mike Robinson, Washington County Attorney Scott Vander Schaaf, Washington County Supervisor Lisa Lichter Kramer, Ft Calhoun Mayor Mitch Robinson, Burt County Attorney Frank Barron. Ben Hansen fundraiser photo album

The 2017 Washington County Fair Parade float supported Republican office holders and candidates including Senator Lydia Brasch, Public Service Commissioner Tim Schram, State Senator John Murante who is a candidate for State Treasurer, candidate for Secretary of State Bob Evnen, Legislative candidate for District #16 Micheal Dwyer.
