Over 65 supporters attended the Senator Pete Rickett and State Senate candidate Ted Japp Meet & Greet event Tuesday evening, July 7, 2026 in Fort Calhoun organized by the Washington County Republican Party. Current office holders attending included Senator Ben Hansen, Fort Calhoun Mayor Mitch Robinson, Washington County Supervisors Steve Dethlefs and Lisa Kramer. Former office holders on hand were Governor Kay Orr, State Senator Lydia Brasch, Fort Calhoun School Board member Kelli Shaner. Republican candidates attending were Secretary of State Scott Peterson, Washington County Supervisor Todd Trimpe, Blair City Council Shawn Cooper. NEGOP Chairwoman Mary Jane Truemper also attended.
